Cap: 2-5cm Buff. Initially bell-shaped, becoming flattened. Often with a broad umbo and wavy margin.

Gills: Adnexed or gills are seen to curve up and join the cap. They do not join onto the stem at all." class="glossary_link" href="/mushrooms/glossary#free">free. White then cream, Widely spaced.

Stem: Thin and tough. Same colour as cap.

Spores: White

Flesh: Thin, whitish, unchanging.

Habitat: In rings on short grass.
